Taking advantage of the recent trend, fueled by TV shows like "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and "Man vs. Food," toward classic American food prepared with fresh,top quality ingredients, the Burger Dive recently opened at 114 North 27th Street. Owners Brad and Andi Halsten, along with Gary Halsten (Brad's father)and other family members, have recently opened their new restaurant, dedicated to high end burgers and fries. Brad, who serves as chef, uses top-notch
ingredients with a focus on fresh and homemade items, and is excited to be part of the growing downtown food scene.


The Burger Dive was created to offer an alternative to fast food or chain options - to bring Billings something unique and special to the community. Brad makes sure the smallest details are just right - even making his own chipotle mayo from chiles he roasts each morning, all for the Santa Fe Burger to have just the right amount of smoke and heat. Another draw the Burger Dive offers is the The Thunderbolt Challenge, an extremely spicy burger combining ghost chili,
habanero and jalapeno with chipotle mayo and pepper jack. Those who finish the burger get a t-shirt and a picture on the wall.


The Burger Drive is a long-time dream for the Halstens. Both Brad and Andi have dedicated much of their professional careers to helping at-risk youth through organizations like Youth Dynamics and the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch.
Brad also played football for the Billings Outlaws and has been an accomplished home chef and grillmaster for a long time. Now, they see a new role for themselves in the Billings community - bringing people together for friendship, conversation and celebration while sharing their creativity through innovative and comforting burgers.


The Burger Dive is currently open for lunch (11 am - 4 pm) Monday-Friday.
